An Exciting Way to Become a Father

My brother-in-law will become a father again today.

He became a first time father 3 1/2 years ago when they adopted their son from China.

Today, he will become a father again as they adopt another son from China.  I can not even begin to tell you the story of their journey, but my sister does have a blog about their travels at:

Our Tale of 2 Dragons–If you get a chance, hop over and check out the blog as they meet Joshua today!

Their son will be adopted from an amazing orphanage called Butterfly Children’s Hospice.   These dedicated people take in children that need a lot of medical care.  Many are terminal.  Joshua was one of the lucky ones that was able to have surgery to fix a heart problem.  He is now an active, energetic 3-year-old.

Below is a blog post about when Joshua found out he had a forever family.

and here.  So sweet!

This little boy does not know how lucky he is to be getting a dad like my brother-in-law.

Dad’s are a special breed and I’m glad I still have mine around and thankful for a husband that was a great example of how to be father for our boys. I am very blessed to have such men in my life.

Happy Father’s Day!

About the blonde gardener

I'm an Arkansas girl born and raised. I garden in the beautiful Northwest part of the state (zone 6b or 7) surrounded by the Ozark Mountains. My favorite part about the area is we have 4 distinct seasons and are able to enjoy a variety of activities. My main passion is gardening but I also enjoy hiking, birding, 4-wheeling and motorcycle trips. Basically anything outside. Thanks for stopping by! Brenda
