then you should have been in Fayetteville this weekend.
Bikes, Blues and BBQ is a motorcycle rally started in 2000 with around 300 motorcycles in attendance. It didn’t take long for people to discover the beauty of the area and the rally has now grown to an attendance of around 400,000.
To date, Bikes, Blues & BBQ is the largest motorcycle rally in the
United States that benefits local charities.
That’s a lot of chrome.
You see all kinds of bikes and people at these events.
Our friends even saw a new breed of dog
The main venue takes place on historic Dickson St.
with a continuous stream of motorcycles
cruising up and down the hill
for all to see.
Since this is a college town, the students formed a scooter brigade and joined in the festivities.
Another venue of the rally is held at the University’s baseball stadium. For a better view of the rally, helicopter rides are available.
Thanks to my husband for the helicopter photos and for making me get in the front seat. I’m sure the pilot appreciated all those little screams and hyper-ventilating sounds.
