If you guessed green–You win!

Spring has sprung and although our average last freeze date is April 15th, the long-range forecast  looks like it we might have freezing temps later next week.

I know it’s tempting to plant the garden right away, and I do have broccoli, onions, and lettuce planted, but I hold off on the warm season crops like tomatoes, corn, etc, until the end of the month.

yummy broccoli

I only want to plant once.

Have a great weekend!

p.s. I still have some seeds to give away!  Check out this post

About the blonde gardener

I'm an Arkansas girl born and raised. I garden in the beautiful Northwest part of the state (zone 6b or 7) surrounded by the Ozark Mountains. My favorite part about the area is we have 4 distinct seasons and are able to enjoy a variety of activities. My main passion is gardening but I also enjoy hiking, birding, 4-wheeling and motorcycle trips. Basically anything outside. Thanks for stopping by! Brenda

  3. It is getting greener here too but oh so much colder.

  4. Down in these hear parts (Florida), I grow broccoli, cabbage and lettuce only in the winter. It got to 80 degrees in the house last night so I turned on the air-conditioning.

  5. Beautiful, Brenda! We’re greening-up too, but it’s back in the 30’s this morning….

  6. Lucky you! Your so far ahead of us in frost date, ours isn’t until May 8th..

  7. Thanks for letting me camp out in your blog for a little while today. I had a great time and tried to leave my campsite as good as when I arrived. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks!

I'd love to hear from you!
